Where the Berlin Airlift heppened
During the Cold War era, the nation of Germany was divided into West Germany and East Germany, and the city of Berlin was also divided in West Berlin and East Berlin, but by a "strange quirk" of history, West Berlin was located inside East Germany, and therefore it was vulnerable to blockade, which was then overcome by means of the Berlin Airlift that was ordered by President Kennedy. So the Berlin Airlift was in Berlin Germany.
Terrain of Berlin and how it affected the Berlin Airlift
The terrain in berlin back when the cold war was going on was marshy. It affected the Berlin Airlift by making it a little harder to land the plans and harder to walking and hike in.
Weather and how it affected the berlin airlift.
Pilots flying in the Germany encountered a lot of problems. Weather changed so often that it was not uncommon to leave a base in West Germany under good conditions, only to find impossible conditions in Berlin.
